• Vialtus will offer WiMAX services in Manchester to provide businesses with reliable internet connection.

Vialtus Solutions has been selected as the primary distribution partner for FREEDOM4’s commercial WiMAX service in Manchester. Vialtus will provide FREEDOM4’s high-speed wireless broadband service to businesses in the area, giving users access to a reliable wireless broadband experience.

WiMAX enables businesses of all sizes to benefit from access to a high speed wireless broadband connection, without the need for a fixed telephone line. Offering faster symmetrical speeds than traditional ADSL and quicker deployment, the Vialtus WiMAX service will be available across FREEDOM4’s existing network, including Milton Keynes and Warwick, as well as in Manchester.

Recent research conducted by FREEDOM4 indicated that businesses in Manchester are frustrated with slow internet speeds and unreliable connections. The survey showed that half of SMEs in Manchester are unhappy with the speed of their internet connectivity (57 per cent) despite 97 per cent of respondents citing the internet as a vital tool for business.
